Click on the three dots in the upper right corner, select Save from the dropdown and get the photo or video in the gallery right after. There is not the same feature available to download other people's Instagram stories on the platform. To do that, you will have to apply third-party services that provide stories downloading in the original quality and resolution.

The Story Downloader from Inflact saves stories with audio by default. If the original fragment contains music or sound, rest assured to have them on your device. The only limitation is the inability to save any audio separately from the visual part. The tool treats the entire story as a single unit, and no detached MP3 or JPG parts are allowed to be downloaded.
How to save Instagram stories without text?
Since the downloading process is approved only for the entire fragments, no audio or visual parts can be removed from them.
